His father, Taj Mohammad Khan, was an Indian independence activist and his mother, Lateef Fatima Khan, was a social worker. SRK's parents were a source of inspiration for him, and their values and teachings have played a significant role in shaping his personality.


SRK's family had modest beginnings, and he spent most of his childhood in a small apartment in Delhi. He attended St. Columba's School, where he excelled in academics and was a keen sportsman. He played cricket and football, and his interest in sports continued throughout his life.
